Confused about internal storage! Is my S5 a 16GB or a 32GB? System memory using 20GB?!

Can anyone explain this? I'm unsure if the phone is misreporting the internal storage. The sticker under the battery says it's a 16GB, model is SM-G900V, ordered from Best Buy. Why would Android be taking up so much space? Is it a 32GB with system files to emulate a 16GB, or is it a true 32GB? I have 1.32GB free. If it's a true 32GB, how can I free up some of the space? Any thoughts are appreciated!

I think somewhere between 8-11 GB is the OS and required libs for the device to work. After that you have about 6 GB for pictures and about 3 GB for app data. If you have an SD card in that device moving the photos to that card may help and some apps will allow their app data to be stored there as well. You can utilize the AutoBackup functionality of Google+ to automatically store your photos in the cloud and set your camera to default to storing them on the SD card as well to avoid having to manually move or clear stuff, etc. As for what you have, unless that is combining a 16GB and a 16GB SD card, I'd say the sticker is incorrect and you have a 32GB - I don't know of a way to put 30GB of stuff on a 16GB flash memory drive.

There is no SD card on board. Any idea how I can free up the system memory? I've tried a couple different SD cleaners as well as plugging in the phone to a PC, and cannot seem to access that partition. Before I even started using the phone two weeks ago when I purchased it, I did a factory reset/data and cache wipe brand new out of the box twice to try and clear any performance issues.

Anyone know how to retrieve photos that have disappeared from my photos folder on my samsung galaxy s5?????
