The force is a tiny but thicker and has a better camera, but otherwise identical? Why would anyone on Verizon not get the force?

Price possibly?

Price and to be able to say they have the thinnest smartphone.
We all would but as an OEM, they want to be able to claim things like that for marketing. I'd much rather a thicker phone but with a 4500 mah but that's not going to happen.
Firstly no Z Force in the UK.
Having said that, I'd choose the Z anyway. The main reason is that I hate scratches and the plastic screen on the Force may not shatter but it reportedly scratches easily. I've only ever dropped and shattered one phone so it's a chance I'm willing to take. I'd rather pay for a screen that's shattered than live with scratches.
After that, the Z is slim and that means it remains slimmer with mods. The battery on the Z is frankly outstanding for its size. SOT is easily 5 hours for me so I don't run out of juice generally.
The camera on the Z is also working for me. Sure it has less pixels but it is good enough for my casual use and quick enough to get a snap of my kids when they are flying around.
So there you go, but mostly is see the screen on the Force as a negative.
