So it seems like in the past few days there has been a burst of Gingerbread ROM development! My question is, which one is the best? Until recently, I thought Aosp's CM7 was the best (Of the gingerbread ROMs, of course! Wouldn't want to leave out the wonderful 2.2 ROM developers). But now, with this Scott Pilgrim CM7 ans ath3nos's port of CM7, I feel like I might be missing out! Which one has the most working?

Thanks!

AOSP and ath3nos are really the two you should test. it's still up for debate on which works better. so far, i'm liking the ath3nos version better. the battery life seems to be better but every once in a while the touch screen doesn't respond immediately.

So far I prefer ath3nos as it appears to have more working such as the camera zoom. Also has a few options aosp doesn't.

+1. Camera was the sticky point with me on Aosp. This rom is good to go until bumblrbee gb arrives, then I'll probably switch to that.

What options does ath3nos have that aops doesn't? I kinda thought it was the other way around. ;)

Jerry, here are a couple that I found:

1. Long pressing the Power Button has a "screenshot" option
2. You can set your screen to only rotate in certain directions. This is helpful if you accidently hold your phone upside down, lol!

i think there may be a couple more that i haven't discovered yet.

this is in addition to a fully working camera. I'm on my 3rd day on this ROM. again, the battery life is top notch. to make sure i'm accurate with that statement, i haven't added/deleted any apps or changed any settings since flashing the ROM.

Thanks, I haven't had time till today to try ath3nos out, thanks for the clues on what to look for. I'm hoping it has the sliding taskbar brightness settings, I use that all the time, and the individual permissions ability.

Are you using the kernel that installs with the ROM or AOSPs? Just curious about, if you use aosps, whether or not you can connect to wifi.

Anybody else using aosps also would like to know if wifi is working for you. If I use the kernel included wifi works perfect for me, as soon as I flash aosps it won't connect.

Oops, thought I was in the Ath3nos thread when I posted this. Guess I'll head on over there as I'll probably get more information/help on that one lol.

it sure does. and thanks to you for pointing that out a couple weeks ago. :)

It does. It is a Cyanogen mod, and has the Cyanogen settings built into it.The performance so far seems much better IMO to aosp's. Aosp's is obviously still a great ROM though. I am liking the athenos one though.

Ath3nos' rom seems to have more stuff working on it i.e. the camera and such. This is what prompted me to switch from asop's rom.
