I have a couple of questions about some apps.

1- IS it okay to use clean master to help clean the clutter your phones builds up?

2- do you need to install a malware software on your android device? If so which app would you recommend? I do use the internet to look some things up.

3- IF any of you guys use textra sms do you know a way to fully disable the vibration feature when you get a text? IVe tried emailing the developer and I have not gotten a response yet. I don't like the stock messaging it's too boring for my taste.

Thanks

Agree with PowrDroid on number 1 and 2. I used to use Clean Master, but I think it takes up more resources than it saves, plus Android is designed to close out programs and manage memory anyway. With the 3GB RAM on the Turbo, you just don't need it, so why install apps that don't really help?

What is the problem with clean master?

Back in the early days of Android, apps like this had a tangible effect on performance and battery. At around ice cream sandwich they started to become redundant. Now they actually use more battery than they save.

As those before have stated, Android does a good job on its own, so apps like clean master are not needed.

You should not need a malware app.

On textra, go to settings > notifications > vibrate > no. This will disable vibration alert.

Do you happen to be getting double notifications? If so, the native app may still be set to vibrate. Can you check to make sure all defaults are cleared for the native messaging app?

I used clean master for a few years, i quit mainly because of the ads it started having.

Since i got rid of it several months ago i realize i dont miss it. I agree that its not as useful as it once was.
