Connect 7.7 to computer? And other first steps

Hello!

My company gave me a new Galaxy Tab 7.7 and now I am trying to figure out how to set it all up right. I do like the tablet a lot and the quality and screen are great. But here are my questions that I can't figure out:

- How can I connect it to my PC and transfer data via the USB cable? I can not find a USB setting in the "settings" menu. My computer only recognises it as a MP3 player and with only 1.3 GB free space (even though there's a lot more). I can not create new folders and move files directly. So far I have only tried it with Ubuntu but I can also try with Windows 7 later.

- How can I get it to sync my Google calendar? I have not found an option yet to set up the calendar account.

- Are there ways to get rid of the Samsung branded software and just have a 'clean' Android system?

Hi,

The Teen dies not connect to computers as USB mass storage like other devices do. Instead it uses a protocol called NFL (Media Transfer Protocol), and this is only natively sorted by Windows. So, I expect it will work when you try it on a Windows machine.
Alternative methods include using the Samsung Kies software our a third pay solution to give you write less access to the file system. I use Webkey but your Tab must be rooted for that.
