connect a SATA drive?

anyone able, have read about, or think that this could handle connecting a SATA drive to it and running it successfully?

I have an adapter cable I bought from Amazon that I have used to connect an internal SATA to my Thrive. As it is an internal SATA, there are a mess of cables, but it did work.
