connect external display to htc inspire

Newbie here. I have an HTC Inspire that I'd like to connect (mini-usb/bluetooth/wifi/magic) to a remote monitor such that whatever displays on the phone displays on the external monitor. A Google search turns up iDisplay, but as I understand it, that allows you to display/share your pc video onto your phone. I find it odd that there is a market to move video onto a smaller display but I guess that's why I'm not rich.. Does anyone know a solution, hardware or software, that will do this?
