Hello everyone. I'm not sure if posting two separate issues in the same thread is allowed, but if it's not I will gladly create a separate post and edit this down to one.

The first issues happens with phone calls. Basically a majority of the time when I receive a call they cannot hear me for the first couple seconds after I pick up. I'll answer and put the phone to my ear and give a greeting, but they don't hear it. I've tried to count, and it seems about 2-3 seconds. Don't think this happens on my outgoing calls, seems to only be on incoming calls. And if I had to guess, this started a couple updates back. Hard to pinpoint. I'm hoping others have had this issue and know a fix, otherwise if I need to provide more info ask away.

My second issue is text notifications. Basically I'll get a text and will feel the vibration, however I don't get a notification sound. But then when I unlock my phone and open the text THEN the sound goes off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm not having any of those issues. A couple of thoughts:

Phone - you might see if you can download and use the Google Phone app. If it is compatible for you, install it and see if the same thing happens for incoming calls. Might help in seeing if it's the Samsung phone app or something else.

for messaging, that's a strange one. What messaging app are you using? Do you have adaptive battery turned on? Maybe check under Apps, Special Access, Optimize Battery usage and ensure your messaging app is not optimized. If it is, uncheck it.

One other suggestion for both issues is to wipe your cache partition if you haven't done that yet. Shut down your phone completely. Then hold your Vol Up and Power button at the same time and hold past the startup logo until a menu appears. Use your volume keys to cycle through the menu items to the one called Wipe Cache Partition and then click the power button to select. Be careful, the one above it will completely wipe your phone. Click Yes to confirm on the next page and the reboot your phone once complete.

I will try the google phone app for a few days and see how it works in comparison.

As for the wipe, can you tell me what that will do to my phone so I can prepare myself? Does it delete settings or passwords or what? Much appreciated!!

Good luck! The wipe is just wiping the cache partition, which is basically like clearing temporary files. It does nothing at all to your data (everything will appear exactly the same once you reboot). Apps, settings, data - all intact.

But like I said - just be careful to choose "wipe cache partition" and not the wipe/erase choice that is right above that.
