Is there an explanation as to why my Android shows "Connected to null" after I turn the WIFI off?? What does that mean?

What kind of phone is it? It sounds as if its letting you know there's no data connection.

It's a Galaxy SII 4.1.2

It happened twice. I don't remember much about the first time (which was several days ago). But this second time, I had both my mobile data and wifi on, so I just turned off the WIFI. Immediately after that, I saw a popup saying "connected to wifi." And when I checked my notifications, instead of the usual "connected to [network's name]" when connected to wifi, it said "connected to null."
