Connecting Gear S2 Classic with Samsung Galaxy

When I walk away from my phone, my Gear S2 Classic disconnects from the phone, so every time I'm back next to my phone I have to manually connect them again. Is there a way that my Gear S2 can automatically connect with my phone once it's near it? or do I have to continue to reconnect manually?

What model Galaxy phone do you have? My S2 Classic reconnected to my Note4 and my Note 5 automatically with no issues whenever I walk away and return to it.

You may want to reinstall the gear manager and do at least a soft reset of the watch. Your watch should auto connect once in bluetooth range of your phone.
Your carrier support may help as well as Samsung support.
