Connecting Infuse to Mac

I have been trying to hook my Infuse up to my Mac and it asks for my account name and password when I try to connect it via Kies. Does that mean my Kies account name and password or is there an account name and password on my phone I should know?

I've never tried Kies. What is it that you're trying to accomplish by plugging your phone in? I've found that mounting my phone as a mass storage device is always sufficient for the task at hand.

it is looking for a kies account yes,

i dont use kies i just leave usb debugging on and plug it in for mass storage as stated by jklitten

I was really just trying to see what it does really is all. Just exploring different options on my phone and I wasn't sure what that did

I just installed the Kies Mac software and plugged in my Infuse. Even thought the Samsung site did not list the Infuse as a supported device, the phone mounted just right. It is a nice tool to have to perform sync.
