Connecting s7 to Air to transfer pictures

[AC Question]

Is it true that I will not be able to transfer photos from my s7 to my MacBook Air? I'm having a lot of trouble even though I followed all the helpful instructions about setting up the Developer Options.

It seems to have worked in the past, although it might have been with my s4.

I actually just set this up last night on my S8 Plus and my iMac. My entire ecosystem at home is Apple. After some research I decide to go with Android File Transfer app. Downloaded it to my iMac, connected my S8 Plus to my iMac and the app opened up. It showed all the internal and sd card files. From there all I had to do was drag and drop what i wanted to save to my iMac. Very simple to do. Works well and i recommend it. Thanks.
