Connecting Samsung A52 to a Dell Monitor

Hi I thought i'd be able to connect my Samsung Android A52 to a Dell monitor to expand the display.

I have a usbc to hdmi lead. However, I just get 'No HDMI signal from your device'. This is a DELL SE2422Ht monitor. I also don't get any option on the phone to connect. Can you connect to a dumb monitor?

Thanks - so it's not the monitor, then. do any android phones support HDMI out?
