Hi,

Q1 Assuming I am seeing 20 excel rows without scrolling in Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra now, is there a way to connect Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to an external monitor wirelessly and see more than 20 excel rows without scrolling? What monitor?

Q2 Assuming I am seeing 20 excel rows without scrolling in Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra now, is there a way to connect Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to an external monitor non wirelessly (using usb?/hdmi? cable) and see more than 20 excel rows without scrolling?
What monitor?

Q3 Can a tablet act like an external monitor for Q1 and Q2?

Q4 My understanding is Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 can see more rows without scrolling than Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra as seen in the example 5:18min
so I was wondering if connecting Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to an external monitor could also see more without scrolling?

Thanks

A1~2, As far as I am aware when you mirror your screen to an external device you are only able to see what you normally would see if you were performing a task on the device. It wouldn't matter how this connection was made, i.e. wired or wireless.

A3, I have not tried it but I've heard of people using tablets as external display devices, so I am going to say yes you can use a tab as a monitor. YouTube would likely help you figure that out. As for whether it would allow you to see more, I'm going to have to stick with my original answer of, no. Mirroring doesn't take into account the size, dimensions or layout of the "display device" per se. When you play back video you might be able to tweak ratios to get a fuller picture but I don't see this working with an app like Excel.

Since mirroring only shows you what is on the screen of the casting device, perhaps you could use the zoom the feature to make the sheet display smaller, showing more rows and columns, but because of the large form factor of the displayed device things will not seem as small and be something you can work with. Just a thought.

A4, if you're going to go through the expense of getting a Fold just run the program from the Fold device and enjoy the ratio it provides. Why would you want to run an S24 app on a Fold device?

There are several other videos, I suggest you check some of them out for a better understanding.

I do not understand your question "Why would you want to run an S24 app on a Fold device?" I thought S24 app or S24 ultra app and Fold device app are using the exact same app from playstore? My understanding is the only difference is Fold can show more info without scrolling.

I do not have these phones. I am just doing research on S24 Ultra and Z Fold 6, for example if I open a webpage or excel file in S24 Ultra is there an external monitor that can show more info/rows without scrolling, I might need to see more info sometimes so I am wondering if S24 Ultra with an external monitor might work for my situation.

Excel is Excel but it is formatted differently based on device. This is why you can see more rows or columns on the tablet sized Fold than on the portrait sized phone. Not all but most apps are optimized based on the device they run on. Aspect ratios and things are totally different on Fold devices. For that matter they're different on Flip too. Sorry if I was confusing with this explanation before but yes, especially for top end devices, they are going to customize some things to make them work better with the device. If you watch any reviews of the Fold you'll see a lot of talk about screen ratios for the YouTube app. They want to show off all of that screen real-estate so things are going to naturally display more or differently to hopefully make you feel like you got what you paid for.

After mirroring to tablet, during the tablet is showing (mirror) your phone can your fingers tap the tablet screen or use spen on the tablet screen to operate the phone, or your fingers need to tap the the phone to operate the phone (tablet only acts like a bigger monitor that mirrors the phone)?

No. It is just a display. It sees only what is displayed on your casting device and is dumb in the aspect that it cannot be interacted with.

You could connect a mouse and keyboard to your device and kind of get the effect of it I guess. I know you can connect a mouse and keyboard but don't know if you can do while also mirroring your screen...?
