Connecting Samsung smartphone to wired internet.

Hi Androidcentral
I am wanting to connect the internet to my mobile phone. Not wireless but a wired connection. I have brought a usb 2.0 micro-b male to type-A female adaptor OTG and also an edimax usb 2.0 fast ethernet adapter EU-4208. When I plug it into the ethernet it does not recognise it. So I am not able to connect to the internet. Do you know how I can connect this phone to the wired internet? Are there any drivers that are available for this smart phone to connect to the internet? Is there any hardware I can buy to connect to the wired internet?
The smartphone is S/M-A750
