Connecting the LG G3 to a computer?

When I plug my G3 into my computer via the usb cable it does not show up on my computer. Is there a setting I need to change to make it visible? I do not see anything in the settings about a PC connection?

Never mind. Figured it out. There is a notification on the phone and that allows me to put the phone into MTP mode and then I can see it on the computer and even connect to LG PC suite if I want. Assume it is best to put it back into USB mode before disconnecting from computer correct?

What is your operating system?

Try a different USB port. The ones on the back are usually best, but the G3 is only USB 2. Next try a different cable. If you don't have an extra, and live in the US, Monoprice has decent ones for low price.
