My wifes Samsung A13 G isn't accessible on her windows 11 PC - it makes the ding dong sound on connection or removal but not showing up in my computer.

I have tried it on my PC and it is recognised.

I have tried different cabloes and same so not the cable.

I have enabled Developer options on the android phone and set USB settings to transferring files.

Not sure if this is an android issue or windows?

Any suggestions?

First, can you confirm that the phone's screen is unlocked when connecting to the PC?

If it is, then after connecting via cable, swipe down the notification panel and look for a USB notification. Tap that and make sure File Transfer (or MTP) is selected.

Yes have done all that (it doesn't mention MTP but it has file transfers) I have since discovered that if I select photo transfers rather than file transfers then it IS recognised on windows.

Can you show us a screenshot of the USB settings when plugged in to the computer?
