I want to connect to my home Wi-Fi network, but I don't want to broadcast the SSID. You would think they would incorporate something like this stock, but i can't seem to be able to do it.

What?

You have a home WiFi now, is that right?
Is the SSID being broadcast now? I assume you are saying no.
Simply add a connection, enter the SSID and enter the encryption key on the T'Bolt. Done.

When i have my router set to broadcast the SSID I can connect fine. When it's set to not broadcast, my phone does not see the network and will not connect even if I add it while it's not broadcasting.

^^^^ This ^^^^^

I connect to my company's non-broadcast WiFi no problem. Just manually type it in, and select the proper security setting.

If you are running your wireless router in 802.11g mode, android will see the ssid that isn't being broadcast and will connect to it. But if you are running in 802.11n mode, android will not see or connect to a hidden ssid.

Some say hiding the SSID doesn't provide any extra security and only causes connection issues. I still keep mine hidden anyway. It just makes me feel better regardless. :p

Anyway, you can try this, which fixed a similar connection issue with a family member's iPad:

If you don't have older B wireless devices, change your router's "Wireless Network Mode" from mixed to G only (or N only if applicable). Some devices are finicky and don't play nice when a router is in mixed mode.

Pretty sure my router broadcasts in b,g, & n
if it helps this is my router: WNDR3700

.
You could just change it to "CONNECT_TO_DONATE_NOW". LOL.
