Considering a switch from Galaxy S4..thoughts?

I had gs4 for 6 months. G2 by far better as for reasons already posted here but I will tell you a couple of things I thought were better on s4.

1. The stock gallery photo editing. For some reason when you edit photos on g2 it compresses them down to like 250kb from 3gb original file size. I have no clue why it does this but they are unusable unless you use 3rd party photo editor which is annoying.

2. The g2 stock music player sucks, I use poweramp.

3. It would have been nice to include a high speed slow motion video mode like on the gs4.

4. Stock calendar better on gs4

5. Nova was more useful on gs4 as you can't make nav or status bar transparent on g2. This to me ruins the whole home screen look and keeps me from being able to change icon themes and other fun nova stuff. Otherwise the stock ui is nice enough that its not a deal breaker.

If anyone has any fixes for these I'm all open ears. I'm not rooted and not sure if I should. Maybe you can convince me otherwise.

Also, is the LG software (for the PC) used for backups etc decent or is it crap like KIES (Samsung)?
i've used the lg pc software to backup my phone before i did a factory reset.

functionally, its very much like kies (i've used it since i have a galaxy tab 10.1) and itunes (used to have an iphone). not the greatest UI, and there is quite a bit of 'konglish' (korean version of engrish) in the menus.

you can make playlists, backup your apps, pics, etc. i wasn't too sure about data backup and contacts backup but i use google to backup my contacts. you can also use at&t's address book as a secondary backup.

summary - not the most useful sync software out there but not useless either...

I heard the S4 camera is better because of the exposure (too strong on G2) and shutter speed (G2 is very slow indoors)

the display on the s4 looks a bit sharper I think when looking side to side

Haven't found that with still pix. With videos yes, the contrast is cranked too high, but not for pictures. I prefer the G2's camera to the S4 which I had for 2 weeks before returning it.
