Considering an N4. Camera quality?

Concur.... the autofocus on the N4 is pure crap! it goes in and out of focus contiunously and will not stop.... so of course when you push the button its out of focus! Frustrating!

It really depends on where you're coming from. I have a HTC One s and my wife has a iphone 5 and both cameras are compatible to each other. The Nexus 4 camera compare to those two is really lacking especially indoors.

My two phones are a Lumia 920 and the N4, and the 920 has by far my favorite camera from any mobile device I've ever had. Not perfect, but I find it easiest to get wonderful shots out of it that are ready-to-use with no post-processing, and its low-light photos are outstanding.

The n4 is definitely not in the same league, though I do find that with a little judicious post-processing I can get most photos looking pretty good (from a casual perspective), so while I wouldn't get the n4 for the camera, I think it is workable. I had an HTC One X for a while and that was the best camera I've ever had on an android phone.

I really like the N4 and am seriously considering selling my iPhone 5 and getting an N4 to compliment my N7. However, I've heard mostly negative points about the N4's camera. How is everyone finding it? I have two young kids and a decent camera phone is paramount for me to capture moments quickly. If anyone is in a position to do so, I'd be grateful for a few comparison shots taken on an iPhone 5 and an N4. Thanks.

I have an iPhone 5 and Nexus 4; the iPhone 5 is handily better.
