considering dumping lg g5 for note 7

I like the battery swap feature but i find myself swapping batteries multiple times in a day... so it kinda sucks... i like the ir feature.... great finger print reader... i just think the note 7 would be better

No the note 7 is a much better all around device. You won't miss much.

The only reason I can think of is if you really need the IR blaster and/or removable battery.

Other than those, the Note is a better device as an all-rounder.

I'm not sure better is the right word. Different features maybe but Functionly all of the upper tier phones perform quite well. It all depends on what your looking for.

i was at tmobile store and showed the rep... 3.5 hrs of battery use... 2 hrs of screen times. i was at less than 10%.

Just unboxed my G5 today... Amazing camera and Audio

IMO, Samsung. like Apple are ripping customers off with hugely expensive devices, and so far as Im concerned theres nothing the Note 7 does that an older Note 4 doesnt do for a third of the cost.. S-Pen... Amazing Screen.. great single loud speaker (which ive read is thin and tinney on the 7).. great OIS camera, removable battery and yes... an ir blaser .. but for me, SS loses on thir Disney TW skin.. and with the S-Pen features, would you use a 3rd party launcher/ROM... So whats so great about the Note 7 then?.

To me, its like the Emprors Clothes.. you see what Samsung want you to see.. and like suckers we fall for it everytime

Seriously, IMO, ide save your money, buy a Note 4 and either go on holiday, buy yourself something or pay off some debts with the rest..

I wouldn't switch for nothing. Only a crazy man would. The G5 is a great phone and until it shuts down completely, I'm sticking with it!

Hi, I'm a new owner of the G5 here. Just want to connect with fellow G5 owners. The battery is OK. I had the Samsung S5 before that eats more battery and they both have 2800mah. Before I switched to LG, I had the HTC (used only for 4d) before I decide to swap it with VZW G5. I can't live without removable battery. I like the UI of LG, im done with Touchwiz. Install the app HIBERNATION MANAGER, it will make the battery better. If you want more juice, switch to a bigger phone.

It could be your battery. Could you post a screenshot of your battery usage over the course of the day?

I've heard great things about the Note 7. If you feel like you should give it a shot, go for it! It's all on what you need and what you're looking for in a smartphone!

N7 vs n4

N7- better screen, better camera, better finger print scanner, iris scanner, bigger battery, better spen, tw is better, build is better, sound quality is better, faster, wireless charging, fast wireless charging, samsung pay. Smaller footprint. Water resistant.

N4- ir blaster, removable battery. Only 2 things that n4 is better at.

Personally i would go for the note 7. A very good change from the note 4

I switched to note 7. I'm convinced that the g5 modules, specifically the battery and battery charging case has to be the reason for my bad batteries. I'm also disappointed lg didnt expand with anymore modules. Anyway I'm very happy with my note 7.
