Hi guys! I played with the Nexus 7 at walmart and loved it! My questions are where should I buy from? Google? Walmart? Also, should I get the 8Gb or the 16Gb, I will be playing a few games I am sure but mostly surfin the web and playing music through youtube, so I am not sure if I would need 16Gb of storage. I have heard of problems connecting to WiFi should this be a concern? Anyways I really like this thing, BUTTERY smooth, and felt like the perfect size to have around the house. I am gonna sell my Galaxy Note (phone) which I usually use as my tab to get this Nexus 7, because I have the HOX as my phone. Anyways thanks guys!;)

I bought from Walmart with interest free for 18 months with a purchase of $429 on my Walmart charge. Makes it very convenient.

try playbook. they sell dirty cheap now and are great tablets. 16 gb is really not much storage.

Playbook was very nice, but the app situation caused me to sell it.

If you can afford to just get the 16G, better to have too much than not enough.

I would buy from Google.... you might still be able to get 25$ to the play store. Also, go with 16. The $50 will be totally worth it if you realize you want to put a big game like ShadowGun or some movies on there. Go Nexus 7!

That is true, with that 25$ I would hoard up on games! lol! I have just heard of problems with ordering through google....

Also are the WiFi problems really that bad...?

I would buy local in case you have issues with it. Easier to return. There's only an issue with wi-fi when connecting via WPA Enterprise. That's not just the Nexus 7 though, it's Jelly Bean.

Get the 16GB, never know when you'll need the extra storage. And oh yeah, enjoy it! It's a great device.

The $25 credit you get on Play Store is there no matter where you buy. I got my 16GB at Wally World and it is perfect. Walmart gives you a 15 day no questions asked return/exchange. I've not needed it.

I love this tablet and with DropBox and/or Google Drive, storage for me is a moot point.

Sorry to be a nub, but what exactly is WPA Enterprise? I just have a regular wireless router from Charter cable....

I bought from Walmart. I actually ran into it by accident. It had just been put on the shelf the worker hadn't even seen it yet and had to scan it to tell me the price. I bought it right then its the 16 GB. I really had no clue what I really had. I am now so glad that I gave it chance. I had no problems setting my WiFi up at all. I just briefly turned the fire wall off on my computer went to the nexus clicked on the my WiFi from the list and put my pass code in where it says password and that is it. Turned my fire wall back on and have had on problems in the four weeks of ownership. You will find your pass code under you modem on most modems that is. Pass codes are only needed if you have a secure connection if its a open connection you won't need it. I also have never had any problems with the nexus 7 itself either. I recommended it for anyone. Don't always believe everything you read there has been some tricksters out here purposely posting chumped up problems only to discourage others from buying a nexus 7. Silly I know but it takes all types to keep the world moving I guess. Good luck.

I love my Nexus 7. I bought the 16gb I'm an app person lol. I've had no issues with my wifi.

WPA = wi-fi protected access. WPA Enterprise gives each device a unique encryption key from a different kind of router you have in your home. Bottom line is you'll be OK.

Playbook app selection sucks. I used blackberry for 3 years and couldn't even find a FREE alarm app in market.
I got frustrated after that.

While that may be true, the PlayBook can run most Android apps. All developers need to do is a simple conversion. Takes 5 minutes (if that). But yeah, I have a PlayBook too and the apps are lacking right now. Hopefully that will get better.

Is "dropbox" downloadable to n7? In other words, am I hoping in vain to expect to use my loaded dropbox on my JB powered n7 when it arrives?

There is a dropbox app for Android that works on the N7, yes.

Walmart 100%. Google at this moment is horrendous with on-line orders and the $25 card is applied to anyone who just powers on the nexus and registers. It's not a separate $25 dollar card, you automatically get it into your account. 16g is the choice if you're gonna load up with entertainment. Get the peace of mind that if you get a junk unit, you can always walk in and exchange for another.

I bought mine about a month ago from Staples. They still don't have them at my local store, so I ordered it online, used a $25 coupon, and picked it up the next day. I also got the $25 Google. Play Store credit. It was delivered to the store free. Staples has a high rating for customer service, although they only give a 15 day return time for electronics. I've had no problems.

I purchased mine from Sams Club. It was a few dollars less than anywhere else. Fwiw I dumped my work iPad and use my Nexus exclusively.
