Considering Pixel Xl, ??? first

At the bottom of the phone, you have email, chrome, etc. Is that permanent or can that be turned off so you have the whole screen to use? And how is the camera on this phone? Thanks all. Would be upgrading from V10

You can change what you have in the bottom dock, but you can't "turn it off" that I know of.
The camera is amazing. Best I've ever used.

To be fair you can't turn it off while using the stock launcher. But if you don't like it you can always download a new launcher and remove the dock that way. I believe Nova gives you lots of options for the dock.

Can set it up however you want with third party launcher, which many Android users prefer. Camera is great. Highest iq of any phone camera I've used.

Playing with my wifes, I thought I would hate it. However just setting it up and playing with it I adapted and it was a non-event. I thought I would *ahem* and moan about it...but it seems good.
