Has anyone gotten the extended battery, if so how long does it last? Since it is a 4G phone, does it make the switch from 4G and back to 3G without glitches? Overall are you satisfied with this phone. I have to pay full price for it so I need to know if it is a quality kit.
Thanks,
CSI Guy

It has been a terrible phone for a friend of mine and a great phone to me. Not sure if that helps you much but... The latest update has resolved lots of issues. There are other issues but that goes for ANY phone.

The wife and I have the TB and haven't had any of the reboot issues. Since the MR 2, I keep our phones in 3G mode and able to switch back to 4G no issues. Personally, I wouldn't pay full price for any phone.

I have the Bolt and it has been the best phone I have had. I have had alot of them too. So many my wife gets pretty upset. I would suggest getting the extended battery, the 4g eats the stock battery pretty quick. Yes, it goes from 3g to 4g without any problems. The extended battery last me just about 2 days depending how much I'm on it. I paid 600.00 for it. I think it was a good investment. I was a moto guy until I bought an HTC product. I love sense and hate blur. Hope this helps. Take care.

I got the T-Bolt on day one. Great phone, Some problems but that's what you get when you are an early adopter.
Yeah, the battery is an issue. My solution is to have many batteries and many desk top chargers. Whenever I sit down at my desk (this for 10-15 minutes 4 times a day), the phone goes on the charger. At the end of my work day, I pop in a new battery and I am good to go for the rest of the day.
If you can't work that solution, the extended battery is your choice.
I love the screen, the 4G, Sense, and the kickstand.

I've had some issues with the phone, mostly due to problems with the latest OTA. Now that I'm rooted with a custom rom and even newer radio, I'd say it's just about the perfect phone. As far as full price...I wouldn't pay it for any phone.

Thanks for the info. I went ahead and bought the TB. I got the extended battery and am downloading the firmware etc. right now. Someone said that you can run the phone on just 3G if you want to, how do I do this?

I'm very happy with mine. The last update handled the reboot issue, sped up GPS, and seems to increased battery life. I have the extended battery and can go all day now, even in 4G coverage. Before the Baseband 1.39 I would force 3G if I was going to be in 4G for more than 8-10 hours. Now I made 14-16 and still have around 40% left. I highly recommend the 2750mah battery. Though I've used extended batteries on my last three phones....

If you are using the MR2 update, the option is under Wireless&Networks -> Mobile networks.
If not on MR2, you can download LTEonoff from the market.

I second gwtiff54 and San Juan It is a great phone, one thing to remeber is most people who complain really dont know what they are talking about, an those that do know an still complain are being a lil anal. Its a great phone with great features an a few bugs that are being worked out, just like every other phone on the market.
There is more than one way, there is an app in the market from the devs at XDA(read as Xtrodinary Developers of Android) called "LTE OnOff" or since the MR2 update Setting>Wireless&Networks>Moblile networks>network mode then select CDMA.

I'd say it depends on how you plan to use it... If you're planning to root, your options are almost unlimited as far as customization. Many of the most popular ROMs out for the TB have tweaked things to the point that glitches are almost nonexistent.. I'm running BAMF's GingeREMIX 2.1 and LOVE it... However if you're a stock kinda guy, it may not be worth it at full price as Verizon has been notoriously slow about fixing known bugs. (Just check the threads about all the long-awaited OTAs) Good luck in your decision. The TB is a great phone. It just needs a little tweaking to reach its maximum potential.

I know its alot to pay full retail but when your using a LG choc you will do anything. I sold some things to get the money for my Tbolt. I am very happy with this device. I think gingerbread will make it rock even more. It has had some hiccups, but after the newest software update mine has been flawless. Also we are able to have Netflix, helps me out with the kids on the road. Now I need to invest in a good case, you know how kids are. My wifes nerves are shot because I'm constantly looking back while driving telling my three kids to take care of daddies other girlfriend. ;)

So far so good. I strapped a Car Battery to it, AKA the big extended battery, and I could power the Space Shuttle. Looks like this is going to be a fine phone. Anyone find a Belt Holster for this beast with the extended battery pack on it?
