Considering

When I got my Pixel 2 XL I decided to get a wireless Bluetooth headset at the same time. I bought a Sony WH1000XM2 noise cancelling headset and the audio quality is superb. I love the freedom from outside noise and the freedom from wires.

I use a set of 1st gen Bose QC35s. Great sound, noise cancelling. I got a free set of Sennheiser Momentum 2 wireless headphones from being a tester for Argos. My husband uses them with his new P2XL. He has put his dongle onto his Bose wired in case he needs to use them.

I dont think I would like no headphone jack. I use Bluetooth most of the time but like the option to use wired if my headset goes dead. I suppose if they include the adaptor to use a wired headset I could deal with it.

That sounds like a great plan! Maybe I'll consider a noise-cancelling headset as well!

I had used a cheap pair of BT headset before getting my P2 XL .

Since getting the XL ,upgraded to a better BT headset., which I use on both my phones now
I just prefer now not having anything plugged into my phone, probably my next set of BT's I will look into getting a pair that doesn't have a wire connecting the ear buds to each other .

I don't like wires :)

I got the Sony wh1000xm2 headphones as well! They are amazing. I also got a pair of jabra elite 65t earbuds which are more compact and easier to carry around. I wanted to transition to wireless as soon as I got the pixel and I love it! Untangling wires is really annoying :p

The adaptor is the same for the 2 and 2XL
Yeah that's what I meant. I'm just surprised and impressed that a Google phone comes with a good DAC in its adaptor. Haven't tested it out yet as I only have wireless earphones.

I just ordered a pair of Kef M100 though, can't wait!

It SEEMS like it does. I haven't done anything scientific, but the sound is pretty darn good and crisp.. better than a few phones without a dongle.

The HTC and Razer adapters have more kick especially the Razer.
