Constant google popup ads!

Hey crew, I keep getting these pop up ads on my new s9 plus. Never experienced this before and I don't know what app is sending these. They pop up when I wake my device. They are always for Google apps.

It's definitely coming from an app. Usual culprits are File Managers or Battery Savers. Have you installed any of these lately?

Also, next time you get that popup open your recent apps and see if you recognise the icon on the last card.

No battery savers or file managers. What's really odd is I haven't installed any new apps that I didn't have on my note 8, which did not have this issue.

Maybe that's it? I did download a lockscreen video from the Samsung theme store...going to delete that and see if it solves the problem.

yeah its always an app, just comes down to finding which app it is. usually the least useful ones.

Still can't figure it out. I deleted the live wallpaper and when I hit the app switcher multi task screen it doesn't tell me. I'll try to get a screen shot.

I think it was the app Ringtone Maker

stay away from ringtone, screensaver, lock screen apps...

and stay away from 3rd party youtube apps like tubemate and obytube.. I heard some people get viruses by those apps.

Stick with apps by GOOGLE, MICROSOFT and BIG COMPANIES...

They really are getting out of hand. That's one of the things I'll give ios, they have control on there os ad system.

Mine are game or ads for the NBA or AT&T or WISH. I've not added any apps. Just transferred them from my S7. I'm at my whits end!!! I've tried running a MalWare app. Nothing is helping!!

Yeah, you have to be careful for those adware apps. It's a good thing the play store has plenty of adware search apps that can find them and if not, YouTube usually does lol.

From what I can tell these are Twitter ads. I have uninstalled Twitter but they are still there. Now what??
