Constant random reboots since ICS

What does it do to battery life?

Much worse since you're leaving the cpu on and not allowing it to go into deep sleep. That's the tradeoff tho. Stopped my reboots, auto-rotate and volume problems

Wake lock app surprisingly doesn't abuse the battery as much as I thought. About 10% overnight.. About 1% per hour in standby. Doesn't affect it during use of course.

Anyone else still having reboot issues after installing "the patch"? It's getting progressively worse. :-(

I'm having the same issue. I had placed my Transformer down with 79% battery still remaining yesterday afternoon and by last night it was dead. I'm assuming it went through a boot loop. Hopefully they have another fix for it!

My volume (everything including media, notifications, alarms) would stop working and require reboot. I've heard this happen with a smaller number of users

I've had this issue too. In addition to the random reboot.

Last night my tablet had 90% battery and then this morning dead, this is honestly getting frustrating and I guess I should just shut the thing down when I am done with it.

Just go ahead and install and use the wake lock app and stop the frustration. 100% reliable for more than 2 weeks

This is really getting frustrating. Has any one heard anything from ASUS? I installed the wake lock tonight to see how that helps. I bought this thing because I heard so many good things about it. Now I am really frustrated. I hope they can fix it fast. I am tired of it rebooting in the middle of something or when I need to use it the battery is dead because of a boot loop.

A frustrated Transformer user.... :'(

^^ your troubles will be over using wake lock...but yes it is a workaround. But at least 100% solid while using it.

Have any of you guys having these problems rooted, installed the clockwork recovery, wiped everything, then installed the ICS build for rooted TFs from XDA?

I have to say, I haven't had any of the issues people are reporting here. ICS has been working really well for me. But I didn't do the OTA update. I installed the update from XDA.

As for battery drain when sleeping, well...

I'm not having the problems either and I'm not rooted so...it's not consistent across the board. Bottom line, it's enough people affected that ASUS needs to do something about it.

Doesn't seem like it's been awake very much from that chart?

Well yeah. I've been busy with other things the last week and haven't used it much.

I thought one of the problems people were experiencing was battery drain while the tablet sits sleeping?

15 pages of comments regarding this issue, too many pages to read to see if this issue has been resolved. I haven't see anything from Asus regarding a fix, so we'll see. I seem to be in the middle of the problem....

ever since the ICS update (mid-March I believe it was) my tablet performance has been extremely underwhelming. I have experienced the constant reboots. As a matter of fact, the first time it happened the tablet wouldn't turn on for three days. I took it to Best Buy, where I have their extended warranty, and started filling out the paperwork to have the unit repaired/replaced. As the paperwork was being finished, the tablet woke up as if nothing was wrong. But--still--I experience bad battery life and lagging in all applications (especially bad in browser) that I use. I'm getting a little tired of it to be honest. Any suggestions as of late? Would it be best just to take my tablet to best buy? My table isn't rooted and i do not have an SD card.

Just my $0.02 - I picked up a refurbished TF101 from eBay a few days ago and applied the OTA update before configuring any accounts or installing any apps, just enough of the initial setup to get to the home screen. I've not had any of these problems, no reboots, and performance is great.

Ck out the forums at XDA.. it appears that Asus has released a patch to a few testers yesterday. Meantime the wakelock app continues to be the workaround

Well, I spoke too soon - picked up my tablet an hour ago and found it locked up on the startup screen. :/
