Contact picture floating on home screen?

I have a Galaxy S 6 Edge and it is great but now I accidently got rid something. There used to be an icon on screen that wasn't in People Edge and wasn't on the grid. It was a contact picture that looked just like people edge but it kind of just floated on the screen. I had two of them on my screen and could move them independently. They were useful because I had easy quick access to those two people, by both phone and text. But one day I deleted them and I can't find it now. Does anyone know what this is and how I can fix it?
