Contact Ringtone question (Samsung S4)

Hi All,
I'm having a problem with my S4, I'm trying to assign a custom ringtones for some contacts and the weirdest thing is happening:
If I go the Contacts app and search for a name and click on it, I have the Ringtone field which I can change and select the desired ringtone. Now the problem is that after doing that, when that same contact sends me a Whatsapp message, the phone rings the same ringtone I assigned for them in the contacts app!! I thought that Ringtone field was for the call? Am I missing something?

Whatsapp must be syncing with your contacts on the phone.

I just checked the whatsapp settings more carefully: I found a setting in the Notifications section called "Contact Ringtone: Use contact's custom ringtone as the notification ringtone".
So that must be it. I disabled it

Good day members,
Interested in knowing how to set up same ring tone (in Ringtone folder), for all contacts. Interested in knowing if this can be done to all contacts at one time or do I have to do configure ring to for each contact individually.
Then, would like to assign different ring tone for all incoming calls that's not a contact.
Your time and assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
