Contact Shortcut Icons...

Im using Launcher Pro and creating contact shortcuts on my home page. Is there any way to use the contacts picture as the shortcut picture?

From your homescreen (with at least 1 widget slot open):
Menu --> Add --> Shortcuts --> Contact --> Choose contact from your contacts list. If that contact has a picture associated with it, the picture will become the icon on your home screen.

Yep. If theres no picture, youll get the stock outline photo. LauncherPro plus has a scrollable contact widget, either 4x4 or 2x4 that you can set to any group of contacts, such as favorites. I really like it, worth the $3 or whatever... and they are going to be pushing out more widgets soon.

What if there is a picture associated with the contact yet te icon isn't showing it?

I am using launcher pro as well and I cannot get the photos associated with my contacts to come up either. Some do and sone don't - I habit quite figured out why yet.
I am suspecting that due to the multiple contact lists that I have (Facebook,Twitter, gmail,work, etc) it is choosing the one without a picture. If/when I figure it out I will post.
Which leads me to another question, can I merge my contact accounts to create one without duplicate entries.

Yes you can merger them. Under contacts be on the person's main contact listing and hit the settings button. Choose Link and then choose the second contact entry. It will merge them into one.
