I am currently using 2.2 on a Telus Fascinate to be clear. Now that I have phone working properly I have hundreds of contacts in the PIM for a Palm Treo 650. I can easily export GROUP as a VCF file. Place it on the SD card and have them imported. Some get maggled and corrupted somehow. But thats not the biggest issue.
I cannot import into a predefined group, contacts without a first or last name but a Company name field are listed at the top of contacts as "Unnamed". Fine no big deal, just changed the sort parameters and sort by company. But no that option does not exist. This is handled easily on the Palm by sorting by Company and either first or last name. The android data base does not have that level of control.
I cannot see a way of importing any in Kies (least not a group but only one contact). Anyone import contacts into this platform with ideas. this is a real bummer.
