Contacts missing on primary shortcut

I have a charge and the contacts shortcut on the primary shortcut bar disappeared. I was able to find it somehow and put it as a shortcut on my home screen but not primary shortcut bar... when i hold it down and try to drag it on the bar the trash can appears. Any ideas on getting it back to the bar with phone, messaging, and apps? Thanks

I'm not sure what that means? ? I don't know much about this stuff. I just got the phone about a month ago and have not changed anything on it

Problem solved. Open apps and hit edit button then you can customize the primary shortcut as well. When hit him the home key it saves it.
