contacts not syncing with gmail???

The best buy couldn't get the machine to transfer contacts to work from my old blackberry tour. So I just bluetoothed them from the bb to the evo and seemed to work fine except that the only contacts showing up in gmail are the ones that I have manually entered on the phone since adding those by bluetooth. Anyone have a solution other that deleting all of them and adding them to google manually.

It is syncing with gmail but only contacts that I manually entered.it says under options that it is syncing and the last time it did. Has anyone bluetooth there contacts and had them add to gmail?

I had a problem with my contacts that came over from my Pre' not being able to be changed to either a Phone Or Google contact. For some reason once you create a contact thats what it will always be.

I fixed it. I had to export my contacts to my sd card and then delete them on my phone. Next I put the contacts off the sd card on my laptop and then imported them into gmail. Might have been the long way but it worked. Android had a confirm delete of so many contacts in the top bar that prevented gmail from syncing, which took me a while too notice.
