Contacts/Persons Listing

I fortunately backed up my contacts list from previous phone and they all transferred properly to my Thunderbolt. One little glitch though -- on a few of my contacts, I want to change which of their numbers (between home and cell) is the primary number choosing to call but I can't figure out how to do this. There's NOTHING in the online manual about this either.
So how do I designate a certain number as a person's primary calling number?

Open the contact for the person and long press the number you want as primary.

Same issue here. And when someone calls, how do I know what number they are calling from? It doesn't show wether the number is cell, home, work, etc...

There is an m, p etc. before the number, if your not getting any number for your contact you have to put the area code in front of their number in people.

Go into people, select contact, menu, edit, scroll down to the number you want to delete, click the x after the number.

Thank you! I have a bunch of numbers like this where I want to change the "primary" number. I can't believe I didn't see your answer until today. But, I'm a man of patience - well, maybe not!
