Is there a Contacts widget for the Note 2 (4.1.1) that has the following features?
* Shows a scrollable grid of photos (w/names)
* Select group to show (e.g. Favorites)
* Each contact has their own default action (Show / Dial a particular number / Email) when you press it

The photos came from the Contacts. Sometimes they would get changed out from under me if the
person changed their Facebook photo. But I could change it back to the Contacts photo, or specify
some other picture on the device, and lock it in so that in the widget I always see the photo I wanted.

That's how the old widget on my VZW Thunderbolt worked.
If I edited the contact on my computer (Mac) I would see the configuration in the comments area:
"<HTCData><Favorite>actionid:ViewContactCard</Favorite></HTCData>"

None of the widgets I can find for the Note II do that -- they can't configure the per-Contact action!

Or is there something I am missing about how this works on the Note?

I think that was a function of htc sense. I am going to be getting this phone soon and would have been looking for it too. It really is a nice widget for commonly used contacts. If you want to change launchers I know go launcher has it.
