Hey everyone. Let me just get this out first, I do have a Galaxy S3, and it's rooted running Wanam Lite. I always wanted a tablet to just be able to watch movies and whatnot on it, and a bigger screen is always nice for those things, so I was gunna grab a Nexus 7. Then it hit me... The Nexus 7 is only about 2" bigger than my S3... What's the point? My S3 is also rooted, so it's not like I'm gunna miss out on Stock android... I could just download any rom like Carbon or Parandroid and have even more features. So then I started contemplating getting a Vita, and was excited for it until after years of dealing with just spending $0-$5 on google apps, vita games just seem SO expensive and the added proprietary memory card makes it worse.

Does it really make sense to get a Nexus 7? No need to mention the 2nd gen one coming out, a tablet is a tablet to me. I'm an avid gamer for sure, and the titles that are offered on the Vita REALLY make me excited. Just looking for some opinions from you all.

You could get an iPad or iPad mini also, and then have another platform to play around on. :) That being said the Nexus 7 is a great tablet, I had 2 of them. You might also consider a NVIDIA Shield, which is like a combo of a tablet and handheld gaming device. It looked AWESOME at CES this year, and is on the verge of release.
