continued conversation setting is cutting off Google Assistant answers

so I noticed when I turned on continued conversation for the Pixel 4, if there's a lengthy answer that the Google Assistant needs to say, she cuts herself off halfway through. And then I finally realized why, it's
because the colored line appears at the bottom of the screen and she's listening again. I wonder if this is just a bug that they can fix in an update? so she can only answer for short time before the continued conversation kicks in again and cuts her off.

I hadn't run across this issue yet. I guess I need to think of something to ask Assistant that requires a long answer.

I would imagine that Google would fix it with an app / firmware update (for assistant speakers)....if they know about it. Have you reported the issue to Google?
