Converting Text

So this is my first Note device and really enjoying it. But I was watching a couple of videos where someone was making a list and was able to convert it to a to-do list and also convert there handwriting into text but for whatever reason I can't figure out how to do either one and can't find the video I saw it originally.

I was trying to figure out the same thing. .. i wrote a phone number down during a call and wanted to convert to text so i can copy and paste into dial pad.

I think you're looking for the whole action memo thing. I think it's only available when you do the quick memo by holding the Spen button and double tapping on the screen. Write what you, then click "more" and click "link to action." Hope that helps.

The text conversion thing isn't there anymore but the list is. Kind of a bummer, the note 2 was the first devices I've ever had that could reliably read my handwriting. I've been writing on pda's since the Apple Newton! Still have both of my Newtons!

The Note5 has the option to convert handwriting to text if you download the S Note Extension pack (More - More features - Extension pack). I just did it and successfully made the handwriting to text conversion on a S Note.

Seems like everything requires an extra download. Have all notes been like this? Makes me wish i had gotten the 64GB

The extra downloads are what keep memory low. It's an option that other makers don't give you. Some don't want this option or the others in the extension pack.

And this is one of the reasons I got the 64GB.
