Definitely...but it would help immensely to know where you're trying to copy from, i.e. what Twitter app are you using?

I use Scope and I can copy tweets just by long-pressing the item and choosing "copy"...but other apps may work differently.

I use Handcent for Text/SMS and long pressing on the message gives an option to copy. Same with the standard messaging app. I just did the same thing in the standard Twitter app... Long-press the message, click on the share icon and one of the options will be to copy to clipboard.

i use the offical twitter app, and noticed the same what i tend to do is "re-tweet" then quote the tweet , copy the text then discard the tweet you had chosen to re-tweet
