Is there no way to copy from the gmail mail app?like with sence i could push down to copy i can't do this from gmail even on a web site its a big hassel.

Copy and paste on Android is essentially broken. Here's hoping Gingerbread fixes it.

There is no way to do it. It is probably the one thing that I hate about android.

The HTC messaging app, like the browser app, was developed by HTC. They built copy & paste functionality into both of these programs. Love or hate the Sense UI, I have to hand it to HTC for the extra touches they provide that stock Android doesn't.

I believe maildroid also allows copy and paste from withing any email in the app.
