I can copy and paste non-editable text from web pages on my Droid. Just press the menu button and choose "select text", then select with your finger. To paste, long press on an editable text field and choose "paste" from the popup menu.
This like WebOS, you can only copy and paste editable text.
My friend with the Palm Pre[Plus] can copy, paste non-editable text
There is. It's well documented around here and in the literature that comes with the phone.there DEFINITELY needs to be a full time copy paste ability. this kinda kills the whole point of it being a "smart phone"

Sorry. Your OP lacked context for me to know you were talking about C+P in all instances, not just in webpages and other text. I didn't realize that you were referring to the GMail app, specifically.you're only able to copy paste editable text and NOT emails. that also is well documented

yeha i just mean c and p over all. im coming from an 8330 like i see you used to have and from what i've read and seen in videos there is sooo much more c and p ability on the blackberries and with the amount i use the function i DEFINITELY dont want to use it. when i'm multi tasking flying back and forth from app to app and email to web all at the same time i use c and p a loooot so im kinda scared that im going to lose that feature when i switch over to the incredible ya know
