Went from Samsung messaging to Google Messages and can NOT find a simple "Copy and Paste" when highlighting Text on another message , latest version 10-2024??
Hey B. Diddy...Thank You, it worked...Why would google programmers use that Icon that no on else uses and put it beside the Trash Can is unbelievable...at least it is there...take care...Welcome to Android Central! Long-press the message, then tap the Copy icon at the top of the screen (the icon that looks like two pieces of paper on top of each other). I believe you can only copy a whole message, rather than highlighting only certain words of the message. Once you paste that message, you can then edit out the parts you don't want.
Glad it worked! That icon is actually pretty standard for Copy, but I can see why it would be a bit confusing for those who are unfamiliar with it.Hey B.
