My wife has to give up her Lg8300. She wants to transfer her Contacts to my old Samsung S 6. Can it be done?

If she has a google account then it is very easy and it should have backed them up automatically. On her phone go to contacts.google.com and sign In with her Gmail to see the contacts that are backed. You can back them up there if they aren't already. Then on the new phone just add that Google account to the phone and the contacts will be imported automatically.

If she doesnt have a gmail account then just create one

Can also download Google contacts app and do it from there.

That's an old flip-phone, so unfortunately there won't be a way to sync those contacts with a Google account.

Does the phone have a SIM card? (If it was with Verizon or Sprint, then it probably doesn't.) If it has a SIM card, then see if you can export the contacts to the SIM card. If that's possible, then you might be able to swap that SIM card into the S6 and see if there's an Import from SIM option in the Contacts app.

Can the LG8300 CREATE a VCARD file?

Yeah think Bluetooth would work, that's how it was done back in the day lol
