Should a 1.67GB video on my Windows 10 desktop take over an hour and a half to copy to my Pixel 7 Pro? Why does it take so long?

For something this large, I would use the Google Quick Share function. The PC will need a Bluetooth connection and download of the Quick Share Windows program, but transferring with it via Wi-Fi is going to be much faster than other connection options.

I ran a USB cable from my desktop to my phone. The cable is USB-A with a blue insert on one end and USB-C on the other. I assume that I'm using USB-3.

I thought that cable transmission would be faster than WiFi and WiFi would be faster than Bluetooth.

Yep, that's USB 3.0, which should take less than 30 seconds to transfer a file that big.

USB cables and ports can become faulty -- have you already tried a different cable and/or a different port?

There are so many flavors of USB that even that cable isn't enough to go on to know what protocol you are using. USB is also best for bursty loads, like multiple smaller files. For larger single files, Wi-Fi can blow it away.

My video files are on my desktop which connects via Ethernet to my router, so I can't wirelessly transfer between the desktop and the Pixel 7, so it appears I'm stuck to using a cable. Am I right?

(BTW, the quoting mechanism on this forum doesn't work very well for me. I click "+ Quote", then put my cursor in the Reply box, and then click "Insert quotes...) All I get is a box with two previous quotes in it, the last of which is faded at the end so I can't see what it says, and none of which are the most recent, and I can't find a way to scroll down to what I did just quote. Oh well...)
