Hi All,

Despite the fact that my corporate email on my droid 2 works when it wants to, I am having another annoying issue. I have data push turned on, and when I read an email on my outlook on my desktop, the blue notification symbol on my droid remains there forever, until I open the email app it refreshes it and marks it read.

My gmail account works flawlessy, notifications disappear once read on my desktop.

Why is corporate sync not recognizing that the email is read on my desktop?

What email app are you using?

If you're trying to sync work email with an Exchange Server, you really want to use Touchdown. I know it's $30, but if you want the best Android app (probably by far) to sync email, contacts, tasks, calendar from Exchange to your droid with full push capability, that's what you've got to do.

My Outlook desktop app is updated as I work on my phone and vice-versa.
(One caveat with that: if you leave Touchdown to do defered updates to save bandwidth and battery, it won't sync deletes and read-flag right away from the phone back to the desktop. You can toggle that, but it's recommended you leave it on to save bandwidth, CPU and battery.)

Good Luck,
AJ

I actually tried the demo of touchdown and hated it, I like the corporate sync email app that comes on the droid but it just doesnt sync flawlessly like my gmail does.
