Correct Version of Cayenogenmod For i747m?!?

Trying to do my first custom rom on an old phone. Got the phone rooted and installed TWRP. Right now I'm figuring out how to make a backup and how to do a recovery from a backup.

When I got TWRP I picked the AT&T s3 as the device because there was no sgh-i747m listed.

Took a chance by not asking and figured I better stop taking stupid chances. Not finding anything that helps in searches.

So can I pick the AT&T version of cayenogenmod and not brick?

Might be a stupid question but it's all I've got.

Make a backup and factory reset in TWRP, then flash CM 12 for AT&T S3 and appropriate gapps. May need to wait 5-10 mins after reboot.

I recently used the micro gapps when I flashed a ROM based on CM 12.1. I prefer the micro or nano gapps since I don't use most of the stuff in full gapps package.

If Ihad a backup of all the user apps I need with titanium backup and I decided not to install GAPPS would everything work okay? I usually get everything I need from google after a factory reset then disable all google apps anyways.

You would still need the Play Store and Google play services. I suggest using the pico package if you just need play store to work.

I just flashed CM without GAPPS, got the apk for titanium backup then used that to restore my apps from its backup file. Screw google I'm free!
