Correct way to DL Sonofskywalker 3.0 DI09

Hi, I recently tried to install 2.4 but after I was finished I was able to make/take phone calls, send texts but not receive them. I have heard that flashing it does not include the modem itself which im guessing would cause the issues. I then used clockwork to go back to the ROM i had formerly so i got everything back. I am now thinking about trying 3.0 (DI09) but want to make sure I do it the right way so that I get everything working. I have also been getting A LOT more FCs every since reverting back to my old ROM. What is the best thing for me to do, and how exactly do I install the correct DI09 modem and is that done before or after I flash 3.0. Thanks everyone.

get modem frim here:

[RELEASE] DL09 rom, kernel, radio - xda-developers

flash through odin. then you can do the build your own from rom manager.
