corrupt jpeg email attachments on Samsung S5

Does anyone know why some emails i receive say they are damaged. I'm using a new Samsung s5 phone & downloaded adobe PDF reader that says "this document is empty" also ive tried it with Docs To Go & this app says "error opening file. it appears to be damaged"
I've used both these apps on my OLD iphone 4 and they work great & i can still open them on my iphone but not my samsung s5?

Are you trying to open an image file as a PDF or a document ?

Sounds like you have your default apps association wrong

Yes im trying to open as PDF file
And ive set default app to adobe pdf reader now & still saying the same thing

All fixed just had to change limit retrieval size from 50kb to unlimited size in sync folder

wait where is that setting? i had the same problem - i forwarded a pdf file to a friend and it was corrupted. problem was with the phone.

Go to email app click on manage accounts > select email acc > sync settings> limit retrieval size>then select no limit
You need to do this for each email account separately.

Samsung S5 setting up email manually
if you have already set up using auto setup

Delete email account from phone:
Go into email ? settings ? manage account ? click on bin icon.
Go back into email again, will prompt you for email address + password:
Click manual setup ? Microsoft exchange active sync ? don?t change anything ?
Click next ? account options pop up ? then in email retrieval size change to no limit ?
Then click next. You should now receive all attachments.
