Android Central Question

I recently bought a second hand Samsung Galaxy S6 Active ATT version that I use only for Samsung pay. I would like to have ATT unlock it so I can use international SIM cards on it, but I heard stories online that unlocking can break Samsung pay. Does anyone have any success or trouble story regarding Samsung pay before and after unlocking?

One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Unlocking only allows the phone to accept SIM cards from other carriers, it has no other effect on the phone. Rooting usually causes Pay apps (Samsung, Google) to stop working because rooting compromises security.

Unlocking just means that they send you the unlock code. When you put the other SIM in the phone, it will ask for the code.
