Could someone explain the Recovery button holding procedure better?

Yesterday, I installed the leaked 2.2 from the Update.zip file and it all worked out, but I had some confusion about the sequence of button pressing while booting.

One set of instructions said to do this:

Reboot into recovery (power down - hold volume down and home button and press the power button)
Run update.zip

Another set said to do this:

Hold the home button
Keep holding Home, and hold power until the Moto logo comes on. You can
release power, but keep holding home.
Use Volume down to get to the update.zip option
Press Camera button.


Are you supposed to hold down the Home AND the volume button or not, and are you supposed to use the Camera button?

Power off. Hold home down and then hold down power till droid guy pops up with the! Then hit the search key. You will now see your options. Use vol up and down to move and camera to select.
